This Dutch manufacturer of floor concrete mixer machines has been using the E.D.&A. standard controller V5-1000 HPC^® with integrated text display for the (remote) control and operation of their mobile floor concrete mixer machines.

To optimize the use of the device the client has decided to switch over to the same controller but with a 7” colour touchscreen. The new controller offers the customer at a single glance a complete survey of the status of the mobile machine. The user has a main screen on which the major measuring points are shown. The user touches the menus on the screen. The touchscreen version has resulted in a simplification of the operating system. Traditional lights and switches have disappeared.

Weighing the different components for the floor concrete is executed by a load cell. This measuring signal is processed by the analogue inputs. The E.D.&A. controller regulates the valves and the pump until the correct product composition has been achieved.

Moreover the controller is equipped with a USB-port. Logged production data can be easily copied via a USB memory stick. Afterwards these data on the USB stick can be processed at the office.

Via the GSM modem on the controller a worldwide follow-up of the concrete trucks is possible. This is a very important issue because these machines were sold all over the world via a vast dealer network.
