These pumps are equipped with rollers and the associated hose guides. This reduces the mechanical stress on the hose, which has a synthetic reinforcing braid, and thus increases its service life. Use of the peristaltic pump is recommended for site conditions and process requirements that necessitate flexibility as well as ruggedness. The pump housing is closed to isolate the moving parts from the environment, and contains an oil bath to lubricate the hose continuously.
