Highly Robust Passive UHF RFID Single Chip Tag
Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) has rolled out a rugged and compact passive UHF RFID tag designed for a wide variety of indoor and outdoor applications. The Class 3 RFID single chip transponder is extremely reliable in generally tough environments such as around liquids, metals and other RF-unfriendly conditions. A new antenna design ensures it to accurately read and write from and to RFID tags mounted on vehicles, containers and bins at a maximum distance of 50m. It can also be mounted on reusable totes, heavy machinery, trucks, rail cars, cargo containers and more with adhesives, screws or plastic cable ties.
This passive ultra-high frequency RFID single chip tag, model 136006, features a low turn-on threshold, multi-stage wake-up, high receive signal sensitivity and backscatter efficiency, and built-in application-specific security. Using password-controlled read and write enhances its security. The RFID tag utilizes amplitude modulated forward link for reader to tag and frequency modulated receive link for tag to reader. Activation of selected groups of tags enables faster identification and storing of tagged items. 60kB of user-rewritable memory is provided to store information, such as E-manifest, maintenance records, custody chain and history. This advanced RFID single chip tag has an IP67 protection rating enabling it to perform well even in harsh environments.
